"Growing up, I didn't have the narratives to look up to in order to relate to my gender identity or orientation. Official Humans of Queer is an effort to create a space for queer* narratives to be heard, to be seen, and to be related to."

ABOUT US

Our journey started on July 1st, 2020, when Yash (He/They) created "Official Humans of Queer" (OHOQ) online. From a social media page, it quickly evolved into the OHOQ Foundation in September 2022, a registered section 8 company. Our vision is clear – we aim to reveal the true essence of queer individuals, promoting societal acceptance and sparking hope.

Our mission is straightforward – to highlight the unique stories, challenges, and triumphs of queer individuals in our diverse society. By amplifying their voices, we strive to break stereotypes, address misconceptions, and build bridges of understanding and acceptance.

Our dedication lies in empowering queer individuals, sharing their stories, and championing authenticity. As we continue on this path, our ultimate goal is to see a world where authenticity thrives, misconceptions fade away, and every unique journey is rightfully acknowledged.

Vision

To bring out an AUTHENTIC expression of QUEER folks for a better representation, aiming to foster better societal acceptance and acknowledgement for queer individuals and empower them to feel hopeful in society.

Story

mission

Through the powerful mediums of STORYTELLING in the form of videos, audios, blogs, webinars, and more, we have passionately created a brave space that encourages and empowers QUEER individuals to share their personal journeys.

Our mission is to illuminate the unique experiences, struggles, and triumphs of QUEER individuals within society. By amplifying their voices through storytelling, we aim to break down stereotypes, challenge misconceptions, and build bridges of understanding and acceptance across communities.
